AUBRIE'S NEW JUNIOR

Elizabeth Low and the Lizzie Low Racing team captured the CBS7 JR Dragster points series championship on Saturday night by winning the last points paying race of the year at Desert Thunder Raceway. This is Lizzie’s second championship in three years of racing. This was the 2nd double points race of the year that the team won.

After a disappointing result in the last race the team held a slim 3 point lead. With 20 cars in the field and 5 drivers in contention for the championship Lizzie left nothing to chance by defeating the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place contenders in consecutive rounds and then put an explanation point on the night by winning the race. Lizzie was the only girl in contention for the championship.

Crew chief and engineer Paul Low had the car perfectly prepared and dialed in for the event. Crew members Joanna Low and Ronnie Low performed maintenance between rounds to make sure Lizzie had a safe car capable of winning the race. The car responded with consistent launches and elapsed times.

The victory gives Lizzie the chance to lead a team of Jr Dragsters from Desert Thunder Raceway to the IHRA Region 4 Bracket Finals at Crandall, TX. in October.
